(YEAHH)

24 September 2016 - 30 September 2016

Young Europeans for Active and Healthy Habits (YEAHH) brought together 30 young Europeans to explore healthy and active ways of living and to learn about the EU’s current objectives in the field of sport. The 7-days long youth exchange took place in Budapest, Hungary from 24 to 30 September 2016, and it involved the organization of a small-scale sport event involving locals and international students.

The main objectives of the youth exchange were:
– Raise awareness about the importance of healthy and active living among young Europeans
– Develop young people’s skills and competencies to become more active and responsible European citizens
– Develop young people’s competencies to foster entrepreneurship through sport initiatives
– Introduce the EU’s sport policy goals and the concept of European Week of Sport together with the principle of Health Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA)
– Make young people advocates of healthy and active living in their local communities
– Provide opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities through sport-based non-formal education
