The kick-off meeting for our project RISE – Roma Inclusion through Sport in Europe took place on the 14th of February, 2020 at the University of Physical Education, Budapest. BAIS together with its partners TAKT, Champions Factory, LECS, and ADEL Slovakia came together to discuss the steps for successful implementation of the project. The kick-off meeting was also a platform for insightful lectures held by experts in the field of inclusivity. The goal of RISE is to promote social inclusion, equal learning, and sporting opportunities to underprivileged youth, especially Roma youngsters through sport-based cooperation. In addition, the partners will put their strength together to develop an educational module targeting grassroots sports clubs and youth NGOs. The duration of the project is 18 months and is co-financed by Erasmus+.
