About Us: The Budapest Association for International Sports (BAIS) is a dynamic NGO dedicated to promoting sports participation, volunteering and physical activity. As a pioneer in sport-based non-formal education, we believe in using sports as a platform to foster mutual understanding, friendships, and unity among diverse communities. Our key activities include organizing accessible leisure sports events, engaging in youth development through Education Through Sport (ETS), and participating in and coordinating international youth and sports projects mainly supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Role Description:  We're offering an exciting paid traineeship for a committed and passionate individual, ideally a student, to join our team in Budapest. This flexible, part-time role (10-15 hours/week; subject to agreement) involves supporting the implementation of international sports and youth-themed projects, overseeing internal administration, and enhancing our social media presence. Spanning from February to April 2024, this 3-month traineeship could lead to a paid part-time position.

Responsibilities (what you would be doing):

  • External communication activities (mainly via email)

  • General administrative support.

  • Organizing logistics for meetings, including travel and accommodation arrangements, e.g. booking flight and/or other transportation tickets, booking accommodation.

  • Invoice tracking and logging.

  • Managing emails, queries, and selected social media tasks/requests.

  • Support content creation and do website updates.

  • Collaborating with the BAIS board, project and communication managers.
    Local & Internationalpartnership coordination

Requirements (must haves): 

  • Proficient in English

  • Intermediate knowledge of Hungarian.

  • Residency: Hungary 

  • Experience with managing social media platforms (managing pages, groups, communities, events).

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Independent, proactive problem-solving.

Advantages (nice to have): 

  • University student status and/or self-entrepreneur or small taxpayer status.

  • Travel booking experience.

  • Experience in or with NGOs, or non-profit sector.

  • Familiarity and experience with tools such as Canva, Excel, Wix & Trello

  • Additional language skills coupled with international work/study experience.

  • Personal interest in sports and alignment with our mission.
